MAN & WOMAN
OF THE YEAR

GREEN DIVER MAN AND WOMAN OF THE YEAR

Do you have an aquatic project or program that you would like to see happen in your location?   Candidates from around the world compete to raise money to help conserve our ocean environments, waterways, or the plants and animals that live there.  Would you like to help fund a watershed project, a turtle project, a coral reef project or start a project of your own?  Nominate yourself or someone else to become a candidate for the Green Diver Man and Woman of the Year!!

The man and woman who have raised the most funds between August 3, 2020 and October 16, 2020 will earn the prestigious title of Man & Woman of the Year in their region and receive an award. Regions are:
  • United States & Canada
  • Asia
  • Europe
  • North Africa & Middle East
  • Lower Africa
  • Central America & South America

How is the money used?
Funds raised though the Green Diver Man & Woman of the Year campaign are used for Green Diver Programs which the candidate chooses and can include:
  • Lake, river, ocean and beach debris cleanup events
  • Coral reef preservation and restoration projects
  • Marine life preservation programs
  • Native plant preservation programs
  • Other programs specific to a region that meets the Green Diver mission

Where is the money used?
A majority of the proceeds from the region in which the funds are raised will stay in the region to be used for projects specific to the needs of that region.

The individual man and woman who raise the most funds worldwide will earn the  very prestigious title of Worldwide Man & Woman of the Year. They each will receive an award and a seven-night stay for two at a resort not including airfare.

Winners will be announced on October 20, 2020.  Awards will be mailed to winners this year due to the corona virus.  Winners will be announced on this website, NAUI Sources Blog, and all the NAUI and Green Diver Facebook pages.

After the event, we will follow all the projects on our website and through Facebook to showcase all of the projects!!
